“Fabulous beachfront property with a wonderful chef!”
If you are looking to get away from it all and not have to lift a finger, this is the ideal spot. The home is on a very private secluded beach with great accomodations. There was only one room located off the kitchen that was not ideal. The chef Ericson and her assistant Danora were excellent. The food was fabulous and they were very easy to work with. We didn’t have to do a thing. They did all of the shopping cooking and cleaning. I have a feeling our group of 12 adults will be headed back.
What a perfect vacation spot! The view from every room was spectacular and the beautiful grounds and facilities were amazing. We had a group of 12 women and Erikson, Jorge and the rest of the staff took excellent care of us – cooking, cleaning, ordering massage services and delivering margaritas. Plenty of space on the property to spread out including a nice private palapa on the beach. It is a 20 minute cab ride to get to most restaurants, shops and activities but you really won’t want to leave here if it’s rest and relaxation you are looking for and they will provide anything you need. My only regret is that we didn’t plan to stay longer! This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member
Just came back from our first visit to Salina del Mar with a group of friends. It will definitely not be the last visit. It’s a perfect setup for a group – the rooms all feel private in case you need to get away from everyone, but the common areas are beautiful and spacious – every inch of the property is well used, with lots of separate seating and lounging areas, perfect little pool, a beautiful beachfront and gorgeous gardens. Meticulously maintained and well-staffed. Ericson and her staff took such amazing care of us – you definitely want to book her chef service – we had such amazing meals we were almost sorry to have booked one night out for dinner. We are already plotting our return – and for a longer visit! This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member
My husband and I had our wedding at Salina del Mar and the sister property Casa del Amanecer in February 2014 with 22 guests. It was an amazing experience to have our family and friends with us the days before the wedding. Ericson did our catering and it was incredible and she was so accommodating. Everything went off without a hitch – thank you to Ericson and our wedding planner Amy Abbott. We had the ceremony facing the beach at Salina del Mar and the dinner by the pool at Casa del Amanecer. It was relaxed and absolutely gorgeous. Our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever seen. The staff is excellent and the villas, palapas, and grounds are magical. I wanted our guests to feel like they were in paradise and it worked 100%.
Was there for entire week and lost all perception of time and day. It is beautifully maintained and clean. The sound of the waves crashing and being able to see whales was a highlight for me. There are many activities to keep one busy, but this was a true vacation for me. The full kitchen was wonderful to cook in, once you get your groceries you never have to leave. My least favorite part was leaving…
From the time you enter this property you are in awe. Absolutely gorgeous. Meticulously maintained from the lush landscape to the cleanliness of the villas. The views of the turquoise Sea of Cortez from every inch of the property are spectacular. Chef Ericson prepared delicious meals and the presentation was exceptional. All of the staff were very kind and accommodating. Every afternoon Jorge would appear with fresh mango margaritas that were the best ever! I would highly recommend staying here. I can’t wait to return. This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member
Very incredible home. The owner has this place right. We travel the world and we have not see a property quite like this. It’s very unique. Talk about unwinding and relaxation! We walked in stressed from life in the big city and didn’t want to leave after the second day. We actually extended our stay an extra day. It still wasn’t enough time. You don’t want to leave this beautiful home. Upon our arrival we had Greg, the owner, arrange for the Mexican taqueria dinner buffet, which was a great suggestion. We were tired from traveling all day and the last thing we wanted to do was to go out to eat. The dinner buffet was great. We had the Mexican taqueria back 2 additional evenings. I can’t say enough about it! They come to the house set up, cook, serve you and clean up while you sit back and relax! It was really the best choice since none of us wanted to leave the unbeatable view! We got lost in our day just hanging out by the pool watching the marine life. Whales and dolphins were putting on a great show right in front of the house. The sunrises and sunsets here are incredible, none like I’ve ever seen before. We had access to stand up paddle boards, kayaks, surfboards and snorkel gear. It’s all top of the line equipment. An unexpected treat was buying fresh oysters right out front on the beach from the local oyster divers! The beach is secluded and quiet. Occasionally we would see people horseback riding along the shoreline. Greg was very informative about dining in town which some people in our group wanted to experience. My wife and I preferred to cook in this great al fresco kitchen and listen to the great sound system, not to mention the large, state of the art flat screen TV. Also the Wi Fi is great here on the property. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for relaxation and peace. This place has it all. The pictures don’t do it justice, to say the least.
Owner is a long time friend. I have stayed here 3 times in the past 5 years. Excellent each time, great golf, fishing (aka catching), and surfing all nearby. Each time I go back Greg has renovated or built new. Awesome
Although we live in a snowy paradise, it was so refreshing to escape to a new kind of paradise in Cabo. We shed our snowsuits for bathing suits, and found the most beautiful, relaxing and immaculate beachfront home-away-from-home. The entire time I just kept thinking, “why didn’t I get married here!”. The property is absolutely stunning, with amazing views of breathtaking sunsets and whale watching right off the deck of this beachfront beauty. The owner, Greg, made sure we were well taken care of and helped us round out our vacation with a whale watching excursion, masseurs who came to the property, and meals that were to die for! If you are reading this review to help you decide on where to stay in Cabo, look no further! You will have the most amazing time, as we did, and find yourself loving your new home-away-from-home.
Beautifully appointed private rooms! Grounds feature Casitas that are built separate, giving guests the feeling of ‘aloneness’. The large property offers opportunities to mingle with other guests or share private time, with the multiple decks and lounge areas. There is a large outdoor kitchen well stocked with common kitchen utensils. There is also a restaurant right down the street with authentic Local fare. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day anything, then this is the place to come, as the loudest noise is the crashing of the waves. Other points to note:
- All rooms have at least a kitchenette on their own, in addition to the kitchen for all guests, except for the room adjacent to the public kitchen.
- Bathrooms are locally custom and beautiful, decorated with local tile and bowl sinks.
- There is a saltwater pool and spa on site, as the sea is shore break, and should only be used by experienced swimmers.
- The beach and ocean are mostly deserted, giving guests a very private experience.
- Most rooms have cable TV.
