What a perfect vacation spot! The view from every room was spectacular and the beautiful grounds and facilities were amazing. We had a group of 12 women and Erikson, Jorge and the rest of the staff took excellent care of us – cooking, cleaning, ordering massage services and delivering margaritas. Plenty of space on the property to spread out including a nice private palapa on the beach. It is a 20 minute cab ride to get to most restaurants, shops and activities but you really won’t want to leave here if it’s rest and relaxation you are looking for and they will provide anything you need. My only regret is that we didn’t plan to stay longer! This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member
Exceptional service, privacy, and beauty Our visit to Salina del Mar was exceptional for many reasons, most notably the herculean effort it took to ready the property in the aftermath of Odile. The owners and staff of this property take pride in every aspect of their work, and it shows. We hosted a group of 15 at this resort with private chef service and nightly bar-tending. The meals were incredible, and they assisted us in planning the food and bar menus. The bartender was outstanding and allowed us to entertain and visit with our friends. The chef runs a very professional kitchen, but makes guests feel as though they are family. Every request we made was skillfully accommodated, including an extra guest at the last minute, and a major menu change to cook the tons of fish we caught. We look forward to booking again, and hold everyone in our prayers as they continue to rebuild throughout the area. If you are looking for a private, quiet paradise with luxurious accommodations, authentic flavors and genuine hospitality this property will not disappoint. We recommend this property for first-time visits as well as experienced Cabo travelers.
Owner is a long time friend. I have stayed here 3 times in the past 5 years. Excellent each time, great golf, fishing (aka catching), and surfing all nearby. Each time I go back Greg has renovated or built new. Awesome
Although we live in a snowy paradise, it was so refreshing to escape to a new kind of paradise in Cabo. We shed our snowsuits for bathing suits, and found the most beautiful, relaxing and immaculate beachfront home-away-from-home. The entire time I just kept thinking, “why didn’t I get married here!”. The property is absolutely stunning, with amazing views of breathtaking sunsets and whale watching right off the deck of this beachfront beauty. The owner, Greg, made sure we were well taken care of and helped us round out our vacation with a whale watching excursion, masseurs who came to the property, and meals that were to die for! If you are reading this review to help you decide on where to stay in Cabo, look no further! You will have the most amazing time, as we did, and find yourself loving your new home-away-from-home.
Upon arriving, the rest of the world is left outside the private entry gates. As if to make sure you are swept clean of all of your worries, after walking through the front gates, the closely spaced palms reach out to gently brush all of your stress away. Within twenty feet you can’t even see where you came in to this tropical paradise – what opens up in front of you is both sensory overload at the same time an overwhelming feeling of peace and tranquility. After descending to the “relaxation level” you are left to explore the perfection of design that is the result of a perfect balance of comfort and solitude punctuated by amenities that made our stay an effortless lesson in how to really enjoy a vacation. Forget about all of your plans to explore the Baja, once you’ve arrived here, you never want to leave. We’re booked for next year and can’t wait.
The only place to stay when visiting Cabo. Truly a beachfront paradise. Wether you want to relax alone, small group or large it is sure to be an unforgettable experience. The owner (Greg) has thought of everything and has transformed his home into a wonderful place that will make you want to return year after year. Great for chilling with family and friends, fishing, swimming, golf stores, resteraunts etc. it is all right here. Clean and friendly, a unique place to stay. Do not hesitate to book your stay here it will be well worth it!
Very incredible home. The owner has this place right. We travel the world and we have not see a property quite like this. It’s very unique. Talk about unwinding and relaxation! We walked in stressed from life in the big city and didn’t want to leave after the second day. We actually extended our stay an extra day. It still wasn’t enough time. You don’t want to leave this beautiful home. Upon our arrival we had Greg, the owner, arrange for the Mexican taqueria dinner buffet, which was a great suggestion. We were tired from traveling all day and the last thing we wanted to do was to go out to eat. The dinner buffet was great. We had the Mexican taqueria back 2 additional evenings. I can’t say enough about it! They come to the house set up, cook, serve you and clean up while you sit back and relax! It was really the best choice since none of us wanted to leave the unbeatable view! We got lost in our day just hanging out by the pool watching the marine life. Whales and dolphins were putting on a great show right in front of the house. The sunrises and sunsets here are incredible, none like I’ve ever seen before. We had access to stand up paddle boards, kayaks, surfboards and snorkel gear. It’s all top of the line equipment. An unexpected treat was buying fresh oysters right out front on the beach from the local oyster divers! The beach is secluded and quiet. Occasionally we would see people horseback riding along the shoreline. Greg was very informative about dining in town which some people in our group wanted to experience. My wife and I preferred to cook in this great al fresco kitchen and listen to the great sound system, not to mention the large, state of the art flat screen TV. Also the Wi Fi is great here on the property. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for relaxation and peace. This place has it all. The pictures don’t do it justice, to say the least.
Was there for entire week and lost all perception of time and day. It is beautifully maintained and clean. The sound of the waves crashing and being able to see whales was a highlight for me. There are many activities to keep one busy, but this was a true vacation for me. The full kitchen was wonderful to cook in, once you get your groceries you never have to leave. My least favorite part was leaving…
Excellent experience…exceeded all expectations! Being in group of 11 (most with our own vacation rental properties), both communal and private space was very important. From our arrival, the trip could not have been more smooth. Our host, Greg, our chef, Ericsson, and the various contributing staff were all stellar. Lush gardens, lounging areas all over the place, a “quiet time” beach palapa, azul tiled pool and spa, total privacy and security, off the beaten path yet close to anything desired, ocean toys on a stellar swim beach, beach bonfire, a short drive to Flora Farms (my new favorite restaurant on the planet…seriously!), clean, clean, clean. Thanks guys for everything. Couldn’t be more pleased with our stay and our memories! This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member
All that and more...
Beautifully appointed private rooms! Grounds feature Casitas that are built separate, giving guests the feeling of ‘aloneness’. The large property offers opportunities to mingle with other guests or share private time, with the multiple decks and lounge areas. There is a large outdoor kitchen well stocked with common kitchen utensils. There is also a restaurant right down the street with authentic Local fare. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day anything, then this is the place to come, as the loudest noise is the crashing of the waves. Other points to note:
- All rooms have at least a kitchenette on their own, in addition to the kitchen for all guests, except for the room adjacent to the public kitchen.
- Bathrooms are locally custom and beautiful, decorated with local tile and bowl sinks.
- There is a saltwater pool and spa on site, as the sea is shore break, and should only be used by experienced swimmers.
- The beach and ocean are mostly deserted, giving guests a very private experience.
- Most rooms have cable TV.
